Teaching Assistant for SEMH Pupils

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Manchester, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping these students overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in schools, a strong understanding of SEMH needs, and excellent communication skills to provide feedback to teaching staff. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • At least 12 months' experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours
  • Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with teaching staff and other professionals

As the school is based at two different sites, a full driving license and access to a car are essential. All applicants must hold a permanent residence and right to work in the UK. Please note that any applicants who have been outside the UK for more than 6 months over the past 5 years may be required to provide an overseas criminal clearance check.

A valid enhanced DBS on the update service is mandatory for this role. If you do not already hold one, you will be asked to apply through Teaching Personnel before starting in this position. This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in some cases. Salary Estimate: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum
