Job Opportunity: Emergency / Advanced Care Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency / Advanced Care Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients in the emergency department, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring activities, sharing your expertise with junior staff and students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and clinical guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic/Physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an emergency department setting.
  • Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent, with a focus on pharmacology, clinical decision-making, and diagnostics.
  • IRMER Regulation training and evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Experience in direct supervision and leadership, with a track record of mentoring and teaching junior staff and students.
