About the Role

We are seeking a talented Associate Civil Engineer to join our growing civils team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of civil engineers in the Midlands region, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Use industry-leading design software to create and manage designs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members and monitoring progress to meet deadlines
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression within the company
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across the team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective project management
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote the company's services, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management, with a strong understanding of industry design standards and BIM environments
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to offer innovative solutions to challenges
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills and career with training support
