Senior Residential Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Residential Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Senior Residential Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the residential team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services.
- Manage and develop the skills and abilities of the residential team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care and support.
- Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the children's home, ensuring the smooth running of services and the maintenance of a safe and secure environment.
- Manage the budget and resources of the children's home, ensuring effective use of resources and the delivery of value for money.
- Quality and Compliance
- Ensure the children's home meets all relevant regulatory and quality standards, including the Quality Care Standards for Children's Homes.
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans, ensuring continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality services.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including young people, families, and external agencies.
- Collaborate with other teams and services to ensure the delivery of integrated and effective services.
- Experience and Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in a residential child care setting at a senior level within the last five years.
- Professional qualification at Level 4/5 'Working with Children and Young People' (or equivalent).
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Knowledge and experience of implementing quality care standards and regulatory requirements.
