Planning Officer

Stirling Council is seeking a skilled Planning Officer to join our Development Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and determining planning applications, providing advice on planning matters, and contributing to service-wide improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and determine planning applications in accordance with Council policies and procedures
- Provide advice on planning matters to the public, developers, and elected members of the Council
- Liaise with colleagues in other Services of the Council and external organisations in connection with development management matters
- Contribute to service-wide improvement projects and initiatives
- 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service)
- Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid office/work from home options
- Biennial incremental progression until top of pay scale is reached
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
- Up to 6 months full sick pay and 6 months half pay dependent on length of service
- Carers Leave and up to 4 weeks paid Paternity Leave
- Access to Health & Wellbeing support and ongoing opportunities for Learning & Development
