About the Role

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a leading Manufacturer in the Mexborough area to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team due to company growth.

Salary: £44,000 - £47,000

Location: South Yorkshire

Shifts: 4 on 4 off rotating pattern (2 days, 2 nights in each block of shifts)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and respond promptly to equipment faults/breakdowns, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to rectify them.
  • Install new parts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Conduct quality inspections on jobs.
  • Properly utilize engineering stores, ensuring all parts are booked out against the relevant assets/jobs.
  • Address emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs, as well as support installations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance health and safety policies, practices, and procedures and propose suggestions.
  • Operate with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), servos, which control production equipment.
  • Adhere to all site procedures, including safety, engineering, hygiene, and technical protocols.
  • Conduct duties with a Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 3 (City & Guilds or NVQ-based) or above in Electrical Maintenance.
  • Ideal experience within Mechanical Maintenance also.
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Ideal Level 2 food safety qualification or above.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
  • Previous experience working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), servos, which control production equipment.
  • FMCG experience.
