Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Paraplanner to join our team at Clayton Davies Ltd. As a Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Advisers by conducting in-depth research on a wide range of financial planning products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on financial planning products and services, including pensions, life insurance, tax planning, and investment management, to provide high-quality recommendations to our Financial Advisers.
  • Calculations and Modelling: Perform accurate calculations and cash-flow modelling to support recommendations and ensure that our clients receive the best possible advice.
  • Report Writing: Prepare clear and concise suitability reports and letters for our Financial Advisers to present to clients, ensuring that all recommendations are tailored to meet the client's specific needs and objectives.
  • Communication: Ensure that all communications with clients are clear, fair, and not misleading, adapting our approach to meet the needs of clients in vulnerable circumstances.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and research for client presentations, working closely with our Financial Advisers to ensure that all materials are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proactive Identification: Proactively identify areas of potential future advice and raise these with our Financial Advisers for discussion with clients.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a Paraplanner role within a wealth management business
  • Skills: Experience in all financial planning practices and disciplines, including investments, pensions, and protection, with a strong understanding of complex areas of financial planning advice.
