Youth Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Assistant to join our team at ACADEMICS. As a Learning Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Provide one-to-one support to students in the classroom, promoting academic and social growth.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that students receive a tailored and engaging educational experience.
- Collaborate with the school's therapeutic team to provide a restorative and therapeutic approach to education and behavior management.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social skills and emotional well-being among students.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and ability to satisfy all background safer recruitment checks.
