**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Youth Worker to join our team at Plummer Youth Promise. As a Behaviour Support Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex SEMH and SEN needs, ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex SEMH and SEN needs, covering a variety of needs from communication and interaction difficulties, cognitive and learning problems, along with social, emotional, and mental health including those with sensory and/or physical needs.
  • Work with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or communicative development.
  • Deliver high-quality and creative educational and personal development sessions, including 1-1 small group and individual sessions.
  • Create interactive and academically enriched learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Provide academic support to pupils as well as pastoral care, ensuring their overall development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Preferred 1 year experience in either psychiatric unit, Health & Social Care, residential or youth offending settings, but those who have the passion and drive will be considered.
  • The ability to take note of and act on all issues relating to the well-being and safeguarding of children.
  • Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child's development.
  • Willingness to undertake training days and professional development opportunities.
