Company Overview


NHBC, a leader in the new home warranty and insurance sector, is expanding its financial risk management capabilities. As a result, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Risk Manager - Financial Innovation to join our team.



Salary


The estimated annual salary for this position is £138,000, including a bonus of up to 20% and a car cash allowance of £8.3k.



Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial risk strategies, aligning with our holistic Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This will involve evaluating the adequacy of financial risk modelling outputs, cultivating impactful relationships, and ensuring the financial risk framework remains pertinent.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial risk strategies aligned with our ERM framework
  • Provide assurance over Financial Risk activities through periodic reviews and oversight
  • Establish, validate, and report risk management information to senior governance bodies
  • Contribute to senior Risk leadership team shaping an effective risk framework and culture
  • Collaborate with first-line functions to support identification, management, and monitoring of financial risks
  • Review and validate analysis of actual financial risk-related experiences, reporting implications to CRO
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies and their implementation across various risk types
