Job Title: Head of Financial Risk

At NHBC, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Financial Risk to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Function, you will play a pivotal role in providing insightful perspectives and assurance to our Chief Risk Officer (CRO) on a range of financial risks impacting our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the accuracy of capital and other mechanisms in reflecting financial risks.
  • Align our strategic objectives with the management of financial risks to support business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial risk strategy aligned with our Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Provide assurance over Financial Risk activities within the 1st line through periodic in-depth reviews, investigations, and oversight.
  • Establish, validate, and report risk management information to the CRO and relevant governance bodies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial risk management, with a strong understanding of risk governance, risk management information, and risk modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
