Southall, Greater London, United Kingdom West London NHS Trust Full time

Are you a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychology Professional to join our team at West London NHS Trust. The role will be based in Ealing and is full-time, although job share would be considered.

The post will involve providing psychological assessment and treatment to individuals with complex mental health needs who may also have co-existing physical and social needs. You will also help develop the team's skills to increase understanding of the psychological needs of service users and their carers. This includes involvement with clinical trials adapting psychological approaches for older people.

You will work with colleagues across local services advocating for both the role of psychology within the MDTs and the specific needs of older people with our community partners. You will contribute to the development of SOAMHS as it expands to support people who may not traditionally have been supported by secondary mental health teams. Outreach work is an important part of this and experience in this area would be welcomed.

We are offering a competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Senior Psychology Professional, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise while making a real difference to the lives of our service users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing psychological assessment and treatment to individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Developing the team's skills to increase understanding of the psychological needs of service users and their carers
  • Involvement with clinical trials adapting psychological approaches for older people
  • Working with colleagues across local services to advocate for the role of psychology within the MDTs and the specific needs of older people
  • Contributing to the development of SOAMHS as it expands to support people who may not traditionally have been supported by secondary mental health teams
