Assistant Youth Homelessness Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Youth Homelessness Support Worker to join our dynamic team at DePaul UK. As a key member of our Brent Young People's Pathway team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young adults facing homelessness to achieve independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Coordinate appointments for clients with external agencies, such as GP, DWP, and Probation, as required.
- Offer advice and guidance on housing, health, and welfare benefits to clients, ensuring they have access to the resources they need.
- Keywork a small caseload of clients, providing regular support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
- Record and report client complaints and incidents, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to resolve issues.
- Experience of working with vulnerable populations, particularly young adults facing homelessness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the service.
- Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- A comprehensive training package tailored to your needs and role.
- A flexible working model for suitable roles.
- 26 days annual leave rising to 30 after five years' service.
