Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking a talented and ambitious Building Services Design Engineer to join their Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Design Team in London.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with a passion for sustainability to work on a wide range of projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with a focus on sustainable design and building physics.

As an Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking site visits, investigating technical factors that affect building services, researching new design processes and technologies, and driving initiatives to support net zero carbon. You will also play a key role in managing project teams, assisting in financial deliverables, and leading project bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake site visits to capture information for MEP design and monitor installation and commissioning.
  • Investigate and offer technical advice on factors affecting building services, including user needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Research new design processes, building legislation, and technology.
  • Drive initiatives to support net zero carbon through energy analysis, thermal modeling, and research.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/BEng (Hons) or MSc/MEng in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • A strong interest in sustainability and net zero carbon, with some understanding of sustainable design or building physics and associated software.
  • A full clean driving license.
  • The ability to travel by car and/or public transport in support of day-to-day work.
  • An interest in achieving commercial sustainability qualifications such as Low Carbon Consultant, BREEAM, WELL.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
