Job Opportunity: Outreach Youth Support Worker

About the Role

We are seeking an Outreach Youth Support Worker who can effectively build relationships with young people involved in or on the periphery of the Criminal Justice System and their wider peer groups, enhancing their life chances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with young people in various settings, including schools, local youth clubs, and community spaces, to support them in moving forward positively.
  • Assess the needs of young people and develop innovative interventions to address their behavior and improve their well-being.
  • Collaborate with key agencies, such as education, police, social care, and health, to provide comprehensive support to young people.
  • Represent the Integrated Youth Service confidently and competently in various contexts, promoting restorative processes and fostering positive relationships.

We follow safer recruitment practices to protect children and vulnerable adults, and the post holder will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This role is deemed customer-facing, and you must have a command of spoken English sufficient to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

We currently have one fixed-term position for 18 months. External applicants will be offered a fixed-term contract, and existing Ealing Council employees will be offered the opportunity of a secondment. LBE employees must ensure a secondment release form is signed by their line manager before applying and emailed to us by the application closing date.
