We are seeking an easy-going individual who can work closely with a 13-year-old girl with ASD, helping her to access community and social activities that will boost her confidence and self-esteem. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to commit to 25 hours of work per month, mostly on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To encourage the child to participate in various activities such as cinema trips, bowling, swimming, zoo visits, and theatre performances.
  • To support the child in developing her social skills and building relationships with others.

The successful candidate will be someone who understands anxiety and ASD in children, and is able to provide a calm and reassuring presence. As part of our Information Advice and Guidance Service, we support disabled people to employ their own staff, and all vacancies may be subject to a DBS check.
