Academic Support Worker

Role Summary

We are seeking an Academic Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work 17.5 hours per week, term time only, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:50 am to 3:10 pm. The role will involve supporting children during lunchtimes and working across the school as a Teaching Assistant Grade B.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents. A qualification in education or a related field would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Providing support to children during lunchtimes
  • Working across the school as a Teaching Assistant Grade B
  • Building strong relationships with children, staff, and parents

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • The ability to provide a safe and supportive learning environment

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £24,027 - £24,404 per annum, based on the full-time equivalent salary range. This role offers a competitive benefits package, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
