About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Technical Manager to join our team at Barfoots. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, primarily Technical and Commercial Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • On-board new suppliers to our customer systems, ensuring seamless integration and quality control.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer site visits and pre-production runs to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain customer scorecards to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage new product development and product launches, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the FMCG industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous experience in Quality or Technical Management, or equivalent discipline.
  • Knowledge of retailer codes of practice, requirements, and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective project and priority management.
  • Food Safety Level 2 and HACCP Level 2 certifications.
  • UK driving license and ability to travel within the UK.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, emails, and the internet.
  • Previous experience of supplier compliance systems, Global GAP, Red Tractor, and SMETA.
