Job Title: Senior Student Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at Whitelands Academy. The role is varied and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.

As a Senior Student Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading a year group, being responsible for the delivery of pastoral care and ensuring excellent behaviour, attendance and safeguarding; as well as ensuring the excellent behaviour and conduct of all students within your year group. You will also be required to liaise with parents, staff and external agencies in matters relating to the behaviour, attendance and safeguarding of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a year group and ensure excellent behaviour, attendance and safeguarding
  • Deliver pastoral care and ensure the well-being of students
  • Liaise with parents, staff and external agencies in matters relating to student behaviour, attendance and safeguarding

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Previous experience of working in a pastoral role with children
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
