Job Overview

This position is open to candidates based in Australia and New Zealand.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS is recruiting internationally educated paramedics to join our team.

As a paramedic with SCAS, you will have the opportunity to work in various locations, providing vital patient support.

During your free time, you can explore the nearby cities or travel to other countries.

We are welcoming applications from newly qualified and experienced paramedics.

Please note that if you are successful, you will be required to complete a variety of pre-employment checks.

Main Duties of the Job

Our relocation package includes:

  • Fully funded pre-paid flights

  • Reimbursement of Visa, HCPC scrutiny fees, Police Check & In Country Health Check
  • 10 weeks of free shared accommodation
  • Up to 10 weeks of shared car hire

  • 6 weeks of mentoring on the road with our experienced paramedics
  • C1 driving fully funded and supported by our driving team
  • Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Qualification
  • A dedicated pastoral team to support your transition from your home country to the UK

  • Airport meet and greet and transport to your accommodation

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A recognised Paramedic Qualification
  • To be in a position to register with the Health Care Professions Council or have already obtained your registration
  • In country Police Clearance
  • A current full Driving Licence
  • In date and Valid Passport

Your salary will be:

  • £28,407-£34,581 rising to £35,392-£42,618 following transfer to practice/Preceptorship
  • Plus unsocial hours enhancement boosting your income by around 17%
  • Overtime is available at time and a half
