Director of People

We are seeking an innovative, people-focused and values-driven Director of People to join our Senior Leadership Team on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working with at least 50% of your time spent in the office or visiting locations nationally.

As a key member of our team, you will make a tangible contribution to shaping our workplace culture for a dispersed, multi-site workforce. You will deliver our strategic business plan through the leadership and development of our People and Learning strategy and objectives.

We are looking for a proven strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders. You will have the professional acumen and leadership skills to lead and inspire our People and Volunteering team to build efficient, cost-effective and impactful processes, systems and structures. You will also be a role model and ambassador for our ethos and values, leading initiatives that foster engagement and community, and help build a culture of trust, collaboration and inclusion.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be MCIPD qualified (or have evidence of working at this level) with proven senior HR and workforce development experience. You will have an excellent working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, as well as learning and development delivery. Ideally, you will have a background in a similar setting that includes managing volunteering, driving change, employee engagement and people development, and leading systems and business process improvement.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
