Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Strategist to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of this ambitious project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting strategic financial planning, analysis, and evaluation to inform decision-making and budget control.
  • Developing and managing complex financial models, including the HS2 Funding Model and Indirect Costs Model.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to identify process improvements and implement changes.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to senior directors on strategic finance and funding issues.
Requirements:
  • Possessing a strong understanding of accounting systems and the ability to develop off-system analyses and records.
  • Experience working in complex environments, preferably in infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings effectively.
  • A relevant accounting qualification and/or experience operating ERP systems, utilising data analytics software, and complex Excel models.
