Job Description

In this role, you will be working as a teaching assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. The school supports pupils with various complex needs, including Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and other SEN needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychology or a related field, with knowledge of SEN. They will be passionate about education and working with young people, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching staff in delivering lessons to pupils with SEN
  • Delivering small group sessions to students who require additional support
  • Providing one-to-one support to students who need extra help
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
  • Knowledge of SEN and experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Passion for education and working with young people
  • Current and clear enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo a new check

Salary: £425-£450 per week
