About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist Education Professional to join our team at Longdon Hall School, part of Acorn Education. As an integral member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality education service for our students.

Your Role

  • You will plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups, adhering to our School's Curriculum framework and related policies.
  • You will monitor, record, and report on student progress, contributing to the development and implementation of the School Development Plan.
  • You will promote the physical, educational, and moral development of our students, in line with Company policies.
  • You will take responsibility for coordinating teaching, development, assessment, recording, and reporting across key stages, as agreed with the Head Teacher.
  • You will devise, implement, and review individual education plans, individual behavior plans, and other relevant plans in conjunction with other staff members.
  • You will ensure the safety of students, both on and off site, while adequately planning for their needs.
  • You will work with Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, Instructors, and care staff to produce effective resources and teaching aids.
  • You will manage challenging behavior, enabling students to develop self-control.
