About the Role: We are seeking a committed individual to join our catering team as a Food Service Assistant at St Peters C of E Primary School in Chorley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture, and putting away equipment
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and serving, ensuring high-quality, healthy meals for school children
  • Clean all equipment and catering areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have excellent teamwork skills, be able to work under pressure, and possess good customer care abilities. Previous experience in catering and food preparation is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

  • This is a part-time position with variable hours depending on school meal uptake, approximately 7.5 hours per week
  • The salary quoted is full-time equivalent; you will receive your pro-rata payment
  • You will work Monday to Friday, term time only
