We are seeking a highly skilled Care Engagement Specialist to join our team at Runwood Homes. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful activity and occupation to all residents, ensuring that every day is filled with magic moments. Your main goal will be to enhance the dignity and self-esteem of our residents through positive relationships and free expression of individuality.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading on, and delivering, high quality meaningful activity for all residents
- Ensuring people living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents
- Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
- Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
- Creating and maintaining excellent community links
The ideal candidate will have a positive forward-thinking approach, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to enthuse and guide others. Care home experience is an advantage, as is any previous experience of providing activity or leading others. You will also need to be assertive, yet flexible. Our successful candidates come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
You can expect a salary of £11.50 per hour and 20 hours of work per week.
