Radiology Consultant with a specialist interest in Breast Imaging

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist to join our Department of Haematology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing inpatient, outpatient, and day unit services for patients with haemoglobinopathies, including sickle cell disease. The postholder will work closely with consultant haematologists, specialist nurses, a social worker, junior doctors, and a Band 7 practitioner psychologist to deliver high-quality care.
The role involves providing specialist psychology services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia, including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes. The postholder will also contribute to creating a psychologically safe environment, provide operational line management and clinical supervision, and undertake service evaluation, audit, and research.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide specialist psychology services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia, including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes.
- Contribute to creating a psychologically safe environment for staff, service users, and carers from diverse backgrounds.
- Provide operational line management and clinical supervision to the Band 7 psychologist.
- Provide advice and consultation as appropriate.
- Undertake service evaluation, audit, and research.
