Job Title: Consultant in Breast Radiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Breast Radiology to join our team at NHS Tayside. As a key member of our Breast Radiology service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services for symptomatic and screening settings.

About the Role

This is a replacement post with a clinical background in breast radiology symptomatic services and a preference for experience in breast screening and assessment. You will be registered to practice by the GMC and will be on the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR at the time of interview for the post.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality imaging services for symptomatic and screening settings
  • Work within a cohesive and supportive Breast multi-disciplinary team
  • Contribute to the education and training of both medical and non-medical staff
  • Participate in research activities and contribute to the development of new imaging technologies
  • Work collaboratively with breast surgeons, pathologists, and specialist nurses to provide a comprehensive service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A clinical background in breast radiology symptomatic services
  • Experience in breast screening and assessment
  • Registration to practice by the GMC
  • Membership of the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR
