Job Title: Asbestos Auditor

Environmental Essentials is seeking an experienced Asbestos Auditor to join our team in the South East Region. As an Asbestos Auditor, you will be responsible for providing guidance, mentoring, and training to regionally based field staff, ensuring that the company maintains continual compliance in respect of field staff assessment and witness and quality assurance auditing at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Practical and theoretical on-site training and assessment of field staff as required
  • Supervision and mentoring of trainees/new technical staff, or existing staff competency assessments, witness auditing, and the necessary field-related QA activities
  • Ensure that feedback on staff performance is collated and provided to the Training and Development Manager and the necessary regional management in an efficient manner
  • Escalation of substandard performance and of personnel failing to meet expected progress to the regional management team in line with performance review milestones
  • Ensure that the company's operating procedures, standards, and expectations are being communicated effectively through training and own behavior
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the undertaking and management of regionally based quality control activities such as equipment calibrations and maintenance, provision and collation of QC schemes, investigations in relation to non-conforming work and client complaints
  • Ongoing maintenance and management of the skills matrix for the technical field staff operating from their regional office
  • Assist the Technical Manager with the training and authorisation of staff for reviewing technical reports
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within the asbestos industry
  • Previous experience of working under a UKAS accredited management system
  • Experience of providing supervision/mentoring of field staff
  • Understanding of quality processes and auditing techniques
  • Awareness of current issues and developments in the asbestos industry
