Job Title: Asbestos Auditor / Trainer

Location: South East Region

Salary: £42K

Hours: Full time 42.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Environmental Essentials Ltd is a well-established asbestos company with 3 offices across the UK, renowned for delivering high-quality services to prominent clients. Due to expansion and recent contract wins, we are seeking an Asbestos Auditor / Trainer to join our team in the South East Region. The role involves providing guidance, mentoring, and training to regionally based field staff, ensuring the company maintains compliance with quality management systems.

The Job Role
  1. Undertake training and assessment of field staff, including practical and theoretical on-site training and supervision of trainees/new technical staff.
  2. Collate and provide feedback on staff performance to the Training and Development Manager and regional management.
  3. Escalate substandard performance and personnel failing to meet expected progress to the regional management team.
  4. Ensure effective communication of company procedures, standards, and expectations through training and own behavior.
  5. Assist the Quality Manager with quality control activities, such as equipment calibrations and maintenance, and provision of QC schemes.
  6. Manage the skills matrix for technical field staff operating from the regional office.
  7. Assist the Technical Manager with training and authorisation of staff for reviewing technical reports.
About You
  1. P402, P403, P404
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience within the asbestos industry, with previous experience working under a UKAS accredited management system.
  3. Experience of providing supervision/mentoring of field staff.
  4. Knowledge of EEL technical procedures related to area of expertise.
  5. Understanding of quality processes and auditing techniques.
  6. Awareness of current issues and developments in the asbestos industry.
  7. Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
