Are you passionate about supporting individuals with complex needs associated with autism? Do you have a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Orbis Education and Care in Cardiff.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of our residential home, supporting individuals to live as fulfilled and independent lives as possible. You will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of service standards, participating in the on-call rota, and working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Support Worker

  • Act as shift leader and ensure the smooth operation of the home
  • Assist in ensuring service standards are maintained and reporting any issues
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support to colleagues
  • Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Participate in assessment, development, and review of support and care plans
  • Promote and celebrate the achievements of the home

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a support environment, preferably with individuals with autism
  • QCF level 3 qualified or equivalent
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to lead by example and act as a positive role model
  • Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments

What We Offer

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.50 to £13.75
  • A full-time position with 40.25 hours per week
