About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Care and Support Professional to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a Senior Care and Support Professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of Care and Support Assistants and working closely with staff to provide personal care and support to customers, encouraging them to enhance their independence and personal potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants
- Working closely with staff to provide personal care and support to customers
- Safe handling of medication
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
- Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as appropriate
- Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising a team
- Personalised approach to care and support, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds
- Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is essential
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "can-do" attitude
- Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
- Understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is desirable
