Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Scientist I at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for conducting investigations on various technical projects, such as raw material qualification and Incidents/CAPAs. You will also carry out small projects within agreed schedules, collaborate with colleagues from different departments to find effective solutions to technical issues, and plan and manage your own work within project boundaries, with guidance from Senior Scientists and Supervisor.

Key Skills:

Conducting investigations and analyzing data
Collaborating with colleagues to find solutions to technical issues
Planning and managing projects
Communicating findings and proposing further actions

Requirements:

The jobholder should hold a degree or equivalent in a microbiological (or related) subject, though this is not essential, with 0-2 years' experience working in a microbiology laboratory. Experience as an end user of Oxoid products, would be of benefit, but is not essential. The jobholder will be expected to handle class 2 (and 3, depending on vaccination status) microorganisms and hazardous chemicals in a safe manner, according to the department and company safety rules.
