Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Coordinator to join our team at Darlington Borough Council. As a Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing excellent support and care to tenants in our sheltered housing complexes.
You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and have a strong understanding of the needs of older and more vulnerable people.
The salary for this role is £26,409 - £27,711 per annum, which includes a generous pension scheme and access to a range of employee benefits.
In this varied role, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating daily calls and visits to ensure the well-being of tenants
- Responding to emergency situations and reporting any issues to relevant authorities
- Facilitating activities and planning events to promote social interaction and community engagement
You must be confident in your ability to work independently, think dynamically, and remain calm under pressure.
A background in customer-facing roles and experience working with older people would be advantageous.
