As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strong relationships with our existing clients within the Fresh Meat/Food Service sector in the South of the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent negotiation and communication skills to lead our commercial growth initiatives. Your primary focus will be on working closely with our National & Regional Account Managers to grow and develop existing accounts, prospect new clients, and identify potential opportunities for increased sales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expand our customer base.
  • Work collaboratively with our account management team to identify new business opportunities and close deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our existing clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Utilize market knowledge and competitor analysis to identify unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with technical staff and other colleagues to ensure customer needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Fresh Meat/Food Service sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
  • Good IT skills, including Excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 20 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
