Job Title: Head of Design and Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Design and Engineering to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a customer-focused technical, design, and engineering strategy that supports our future growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a cross-functional team across the UK to deliver innovative design and engineering solutions
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Lead and inspire a talented team, driving innovation and operational excellence
  • Develop and execute a roadmap that positions us as industry leaders

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years technical or civil engineering background
  • A relevant engineering qualification to degree/chartered level
  • Experience using design software packages such as AUTOCAD, Revit, or 3D Civils
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver with a professional, 'can do' attitude
  • Experience of people and change management
  • Ability to work at leadership level to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Previous experience within the drainage, water management, or SuDS sectors is desirable
