At TE Connectivity, we are seeking a skilled Quality and Reliability Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our Quality and Reliability Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and production systems.
Responsibilities- Assist in shop floor material review board to ensure compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
- Respond to customer quality queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain quality documentation in a neat and methodical manner.
- Conduct 8D defect investigations and present written preventative and corrective actions.
- Review the effectiveness of 8D and corrective actions implemented.
- Participate in audits of manufacturing and control systems.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure corrective actions and reworks are undertaken.
- Assist in other Quality Department activities, including daily KPI measures and internal reworks.
- Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
- Good understanding and ability to use MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with mechanical measurement techniques and ability to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (i.e., BS308).
- Good general education to GCSE level.
- Able to learn under supervision, gain knowledge, and record methods to improve working practices.
- Able to work to a priority list as set through item due date/customer status.
- Strong reliability and accuracy under pressure.
- Proactive nature and self-starter who is keen on building and establishing a strong quality culture.
