Job Description: Director of Delay Services

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Delay Services team in our prestigious Edinburgh office.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in delivering expert-level delay analysis and will be responsible for managing a team of Delay Analysts on a number of complex and concurrent projects.

This role offers a competitive salary up to £150k (DOE) and a highly competitive bonus structure, as well as flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of Delay Analysts on complex and concurrent projects.
  • Develop and deliver expert delay and forensic planning services in line with client briefs.
  • Network and win work and develop relationships with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors.
  • Analyse project and major programme performance, identifying root cause of those elements in distress.
  • Develop a contract and commercial strategy to successfully recover performance of distressed project or major programmes in line with Client outcomes.
  • Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of Client claims and/or disputes, providing strategic advice on proceeding; and or amending the basis of claim.
  • Manage stakeholders effectively with the Client and at all levels of the supply-chain.
  • Coach and train your delay analysis team and encourage their professional progression.
  • Champion the Contract Services delivered by the consultancy in the industry.
