About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Management Analyst to join our team at HFG Insurance Recruitment. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing the Portfolio Management Framework to ensure underwriting strategy aligns with the business plan and risk appetite.
  • Facilitate the feedback loop between underwriting and actuarial to support medium to long-term business performance.
  • Design, create, and maintain a holistic suite of portfolio management and data visualization tools and dashboards.
  • Actively monitor portfolios and perform ad-hoc and deep dive analyses to understand drivers of underwriting performance, identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Socialize insights, suggest, and create buy-in for actions to enable the business to constantly course correct.
  • Provide essential input to inform, support, and challenge strategic, planning, and underwriting decisions.
  • Support the optimization of portfolio returns and risk management through financial modeling, tiering, creation of realistic disaster scenarios, inputting in peer review, performance review forums, risk referrals.
  • Support the exposure management process to ensure catastrophe risk is monitored, socialized, and managed in line with agreed risk appetite and reflected in decision making.
