**About the Role**

University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Production / XR Lab Manager to join our Fashion, Textiles & Technology Institute (FTTI) at East Bank, Stratford.

The FTTI is hosting a new multi-million specialist Virtual Production (VP) / Extended Reality (XR) Laboratory, creating capacity for innovative, transdisciplinary practice-led research in VP/XR textiles and dress, working broadly across the creative and cultural industries.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Facilitate the operation of the new VP/XR Lab, including the delivery of FTTI's high-value research projects.
  • Support concepts, practices, and procedures used in visual effects and film production.
  • Work with one or more VP tools, such as Previs, Motion Capture technology, Camera Tracking, Live Compositing, VCam shoots, VFX, ICVFX or physical production (ideally film/video production).
  • Deliver high-quality data in a rapidly changing / real-time environment.

**Requirements**

  • Strong comprehension and experience of supporting concepts, practices, and procedures used in visual effects and film production.
  • Significant experience of working with one or more VP tools.
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills and ability to deliver high-quality data in a rapidly changing / real-time environment.
  • Generalist knowledge / technical understanding of virtual production workflows.
