Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our dynamic team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, enhancing their medicines-related care and supporting the development of medicines management services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in a specialist mental health setting. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide clinical pharmacy advice, support the safe and effective use of medicines, and participate in clinical audit and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, enhancing their medicines-related care and supporting the development of medicines management services.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide clinical pharmacy advice and support the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Participate in clinical audit and education to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist with a passion for clinical pharmacy and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma in mental health pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and participating in clinical audit and education.
