Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our dynamic team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, maximizing benefit and minimizing risk in relation to medicines.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist to develop their skills and knowledge in a hospital setting. You will work closely with our team of specialist mental health pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy advice, support the safe and effective use of medicines, and contribute to clinical audit and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, including medication management and advice.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the education and training of staff groups.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma in mental health pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Evidence of CPD.
