Job Title: Street Pop Outreach Worker

Join our team at Royal Borough of Greenwich as we offer a fixed-term contract for a Street Pop Outreach Worker to support and deliver interventions with our 'Street Population'. This community is comprised of individuals with complex needs linked to alcohol and substance misuse, as well as chaotic behaviors associated with street drinking, rough sleeping, exploitative begging, sex-working, and associated anti-social behavior in our public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients to access housing services, treatment services, or engage with recovery-focused activities that promote better health and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to reduce the risk of homelessness and help clients identified to recover from their issues.
  • Identify, create profiles of individuals, and work collaboratively on intervention plans to help them achieve positive and sustainable changes to their lives.
  • Facilitate recovery from homelessness in a trauma-informed and holistic way.
  • Work closely with the Community Safety Enforcement Team on their compassionate enforcement approach to this cohort.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Ability to work in a trauma-informed and holistic way.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
