Job Title: Street Pop Outreach Worker

At Royal Borough of Greenwich, we are committed to providing support and services to our community, particularly those who are vulnerable and in need. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Street Pop Outreach Worker to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work with individuals who are experiencing homelessness and substance misuse issues, providing a range of support services to help them access housing, treatment, and recovery-focused activities. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to reduce the risk of homelessness and promote positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outreach support to individuals experiencing homelessness and substance misuse issues
  • Work with clients to access housing services, treatment services, and recovery-focused activities
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to support clients in achieving positive and sustainable changes to their lives
  • Collaborate with the Community Safety Enforcement Team on compassionate enforcement approaches
  • Manage client behaviors and support clients with enforcement sanctions

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
