Schneider Electric, a leading player in the oil and gas industry, seeks an experienced Software Tester to join our Andover, MA team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and supporting our industry-leading programmable BACnet field controllers as part of an agile software development team. You will collaborate closely with local and global development teams to ensure high-quality results.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires strong software testing skills, including experience in writing and executing formal test cases. The ideal candidate will have solid software troubleshooting skills, knowledge of network concepts (TCP/IP and Ethernet), and familiarity with automated testing tools like Wireshark.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, PI Planning, and Team Meetings.
  • Design high-quality manual and automated test cases.
  • Execute test plans and perform regression testing to support releases.
  • Set up and configure physical controller environments, including routers, switches, PCs, and electrical wiring of I/O devices.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot/debug product-related network problems.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
  • Strong software testing skills, including experience in writing and executing formal test cases.
  • Solid software troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid experience with automated testing tools.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, especially TCP/IP and Ethernet.
