Electrical and Control Systems Engineer Opportunity at Twinings Ovaltine

Twinings Ovaltine is seeking a skilled Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical and Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the electrical, automation, and industrial network systems in our production and warehousing facilities. This includes ensuring all software, programs, back-ups, and change logs are in place and kept up to date. You will also be our front-line support with any controls system related issues, ensuring that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, and safely.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of control systems/automation/electrical engineering on manufacturing equipment, as well as excellent working knowledge of PLC control system architecture and field control devices. Additionally, you will have a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and be able to create detailed designs and documentation. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize electrical, automation, and industrial network systems in production and warehousing facilities.
  • Ensure all software, programs, back-ups, and change logs are in place and kept up to date.
  • Provide front-line support with any controls system related issues.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across factory assets.
  • Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) studies and follow up actions.

Requirements:
  • Apprentice trained electrical/controls/automation engineer.
  • C&G/NVQ3 in electrical/controls engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in controls systems engineering.
  • Excellent working knowledge of control systems/automation/electrical engineering on manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices.
  • Computer literate in MS office package, ability to use a CMMS system.
