Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our highly skilled Therapy team at Hollanden Park Hospital in Hildenborough, Kent. As an Occupational Therapist, you will comprehensively assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with acquired neurological conditions and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, management strategies, clinical goals, and evidence-based therapy plans to address patients' goals and needs.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies and adaptive techniques to enhance independence.
- Manage a caseload independently with supervision from the Lead OT.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including liaising with community teams and equipment providers, and to contribute to the discharge planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the RCOT and HCPC with evidence of CPD and continued learning.
- At least 2 years experience in relevant setting with experience in neurology, specialist rehab, and/or complex care.
- Experience in delivering evidence-based practice, following best practice guidelines, using assessment tools and providing outcome measures.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards of professional practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary and/or Interdisciplinary teams.
