Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Mobility and Employment Tax Expert to join our team at Lockton Companies. This role will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on employment tax matters, ensuring compliance and managing tax risks across the organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in UK employment tax matters, expatriate tax, and social security issues. They will work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The expert will also provide training and updates to colleagues on topical issues and lead projects to improve efficiency and documentation of processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership on employment tax matters, ensuring compliance and tax risks are managed and documented.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual PSA return, working closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance to gather data and prepare the report for submission to HMRC.
  • Manage international employment tax issues arising from global mobility, including monitoring movements, liaising with advisors, and partnering with HR Business Partners on policy and processes.
  • Work closely with the tax team to ensure permanent establishment and VAT considerations are taken into account.
Requirements
  • CTA or ACCA/ACCA qualified and/or with a minimum of four years' relevant UK employment/expatriate tax experience.
  • Relevant experience of UK employment tax matters and experience of working with expatriates across multiple countries either within the Big 4 environment or a similar in-house role.

  • Be able to work independently and take responsibility with minimal supervision.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and generous holiday allowance.
