About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Iris Care Group. As a senior clinical lead, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary team (MDT) within Beechwood College, ensuring appropriate clinical governance of all clinical activities.

Main Responsibilities

Provide strategic and clinical leadership regarding psychological assessment and treatment delivery to psychologists and other members of the MDT who deliver psychological interventions at Beechwood College and if required other ICG Learning Disability Services.

Develop, implement and evaluate, along with other staff qualified in the provision of Applied Behaviour Analysis/positive behavioural support, a coherent and evidence-based programme for the delivery of such interventions by the MDT.

Ensure that clinical input is integrated with educational delivery and is supportive of identified learning outcomes for young people within the service. To work closely with education staff to achieve this.

Person Specification

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Specialist post-doctoral training and experience in problems related to individuals with autism spectrum conditions, challenging behaviour and learning disabilities.
