About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Iris Care Group. As a senior clinician, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership to the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) within Beechwood College, ensuring appropriate clinical governance of all clinical activities within the college.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the MDT within Beechwood College and ensure appropriate clinical governance of all clinical activities within the college.
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership regarding psychological assessment and treatment delivery to psychologists and other members of the MDT who deliver psychological interventions at Beechwood College and if required other ICG Learning Disability Services.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate, along with other staff qualified in the provision of Applied Behaviour Analysis/positive behavioural support, a coherent and evidence-based programme for the delivery of such interventions by the MDT.
  • Develop systems within the organisation to ensure that positive approaches to challenging behaviour become embedded into the general functioning and culture of the organisation.
  • Ensure that clinical input is integrated with educational delivery and is supportive of identified learning outcomes for young people within the service. To work closely with education staff to achieve this.
  • Provide specialised psychological assessment and therapy to young people and adults which reflects relevant knowledge and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
  • Specialist post-doctoral training and experience in problems related to individuals with autism spectrum conditions, challenging behaviour and learning disabilities
